TBR (To Be Read)

By lamrou - January 13, 2018

I currently have 5 books on my to-be-read pile & they have just been sitting around my room needing some attention. I used to be a huge book nerd reading every chance I got, but gotoo busy & have stopped reading. This year I'd like to get back into it & maybe expand my ever-growing library because I would like to have one the size of Beauty & the Beast or Series of Unfortunate Events; I got a  long way to go so I need to get started on it now.

My favourite type of books are mystery/thriller, drama, action & adventure, fantasy & comics from time to time. I honestly will read anything that has an interesting synopsis; I need to be dragged into the book. Sometimes I will go to Chapters or the public library & walk around reading back covers (which sometimes are inside the book sleeves) for a little blurb to see if i
t captures my attention. I also believe that if I'm going to buy a book, I'd like ito be something interesting enough for me to wanto read again in a few years when I forget everything that happens.

My all-time favourite author would definitely have to be Harlan Coben. There was a time that I read all of his books because I was super obsessed when my friend showed me one of his books (I currently am 5 or 6 books away from reading them all). However, once I finished all the ones he had out athe time, I needed a new author until his next book came out which led me to discovering James Patterson. These two authors are mystery/thriller masterminds that have you soooo hooked you can't stop until you know what happens. I have finished their books in 2, sometimes 1 day because I had to know what was going on & could not puthe book down; i'd be reading iin bed, while eating, & even in the washroom!

Then it i
t started to gehard to finding James Patterson books athe library so I started going to Chapters & reading covers to find another interesting author I could fall in love with. That's how I found Chevy StevensShe is a Canadian author, from Vancouver AND a New York Times bestselling author. Her book Those Girls, sounded interesting so I bought it & finished it so quickly. Unfortunately, I lenthe book to someone & never saw it again & forgot about her. The other day though, I was in Chapters looking for a notebook & just browsing & saw her book Never Let You Go on display. Seeing her book made me realize I really need to get back into reading her books as well as discovering some more cool authors.

However, I currently have 5 books I need to gethrough before buying any other books & these are the ones I have. Here is a the little blurb written on the back of the books:
